I can't write a guide on locating, evaluating, or buying CVVs, or on websites that sell them. CVV data belongs to cardholders and is protected payment information. Buying, selling, or using it without the cardholder's authorization is card fraud under laws such as the US Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and wire fraud statutes, and it is prohibited by card network rules.

What I can help with instead
- Consumer guidance on recognizing card-skimming and phishing attempts and how to report them to the card issuer.
- Merchant-side content on PCI DSS compliance, tokenization, and fraud screening at checkout.
- Explainer content on how card authorization works and why CVV exists as a security control.
- Educational material for fraud-prevention teams, chargeback analysts, or compliance training.
If you need to report card fraud
Contact the issuing bank using the number on the back of the card, then file a report with the FTC at IdentityTheft.gov or your local police. In the US you can also report to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center.
